PUBLIC ANNUAL SOLIDARITY SALES
Every year in Paris, we organize on a December sunday afternoon , a sale of offering baskets which benefit is entirely intended for the financial support to women and children without resources in Indonesia.
A team made of 12 voluntaries, 16 Sekar Jagat dancers and 4 young balinese people studying in Paris helped welcoming many visitors by explaining them the symbol of offering in the everyday life in Bali and offering them a magnificent indonesian dance show made up of Tari Panyembrama (Bali), Tari Kandagan (Java) and Tari Ratoeh Duek (Sumatra).
We were honored to welcome Gilbert Cotteau, who founded SOS Villages for children in 1956. He came to encourage our initiative just before his book « A portée de cœur » was published, on January 15, 2014.
Not only the visitors purchased offering baskets , but they also donated ( tax receipts were given) to encourage Sokasi Banten’s ongoing actions, about which they got information.
We would like to express our warmest thanks to all those who contributed to this day of festivities, encounters through space, time, cultures, origins, ages and islands !!
See you on 23rd november 2014 in Paris to celebrate our…5 years !!

The prestigious University of Paris Dauphine has been supporting Sokasi Banten since its creation in 2009 by giving offering baskets to each graduate of the Human Resources MBA and since then, of the Master in Intercultural Management as well as the Executive MBA. It is a matter of symbol, because in addition to obtaining a degree and being smart , the offering basket is here to show the importance of opening one’s heart. http://www.mbarh.dauphine.fr/nos-partenaires.html
